Date of last visit:    6 January 2007

Overall rating:        You Rock!

Comps rating:        You Could Suck Worse. (Tournament time)

                            You Rock! (Non-tournament time)

Description of room:

Medium-large size room, basically relaxed atmosphere.  Staff is usually nice, but not always knowledgeable (it took a dealer working the floor to fix my comps card after two permanent floor people had told me just not to worry about it 'cause they didn't know what was wrong ... though, in fairness, both told me just to come ask them for comps if I needed something).  Housed upstairs, it's a nice retreat from the noisy casino.  They have tableside dining, and the food is complimentary (limited choices from the atrium and the food court).

Description of comps:

During tournament time, they give you a buffet or discount at the Atrium or food court that is valid only the day it is given.  Now, I play until ungodly hours of the morning, so when I would finish and ask for a comp, I'd be handed a comp with the previous day's date because "the new one hadn't come out yet".  So when I'd try to use it at the Atrium, I'd be told it had already expired.  This totally sucked.  Come on guys, give us two days on the comps if you're gonna do that ... but at least it paid for a full buffet if you got one that hadn't yet expired.

Non-tournament time, the comps are great.  You need a player's card and you have to swipe in and out.  I'll have to call and ask if you earn a per hour amount, because I'm really not sure.  They've always just given me anything I've asked for, which has been super cool.

Games offered:

During tournament time, you've got a lot of choices.  1-2 and 2-5 No Limit, with occasional offerings of higher (but the game doesn't always stay together).  3-6 Limit Hold'em and higher (as demanded, but usually at least a 10-20 game running).  I know there is at least a 4-8 Omaha Hi-Lo running and they'll offer higher (as demanded).

Non-tournament time, it's mostly low stakes.  They've always got 1-2 No Limit, 3-6 or 4-8 Hold'em, and 4-8 Omaha Hi-Lo.  Other games may run if there is demand for them.

Poker Room Rate:

Fantabulous room rate when it's not tournament time, but it's the same room rate as everywhere else in Tunica ... $25 weeknights and $35 weekends.  During tournaments they jack the price up to $49 a night.

Safety:

Love it ... everything's fabulous here--it's like Disney Land.  Be advised that you are in the deep south, though.  I heard one story of a woman who was followed to her home in Memphis, after having left the casino, and robbed ... so, as always, keep alert when you are carrying large amounts of cash on you.
