Date of last visit: 28 April 2007
Overall rating: You Rock!
Comps rating: You Rock!
Description of room:
Binion's has a ton of room ... they weren't using half their tables the day I was there (a Saturday). They're big on cheap tournaments and those are run in the same area as the live action. Very informal environment when contrasted with the strip properties ... makes a low-class vermin like me feel right at home J
Description of comps:
You need a Binion's card and have to swipe in and out. They give you two dollars an hour to play. The supervisor who helped me get set up was very sweet and very helpful. Easy process, but I haven't tried to cash in a comp yet so ... more to report later.
Games offered:
The day I was there, they weren't playing anything but Hold'em. The highest limit was a 4-8 game. I don't even think they had a No Limit cash game running. Did I mention that I was there most of the day on a Saturday? The larger variety and higher limits are all on the strip ... this makes PokerMouse a sad rat. The strip is snooty. Downtown rocks.
Poker Room Rate:
I don't believe they have one, but downtown is pretty cheap as it is.
Safety:
Ran into no problems, other than the mild panic attack I had using the parking garage (and the pressing urgency I felt to leave before dark since I had to go back to the parking garage). Next time I go to Binion's alone, I'm using the valet.
